Director of Nutrition Services

Laurie Ozanich is a registered dietitian and school nutrition specialist with over 13 years of school nutrition experience. She serves on WA state school meals and food distribution advisory councils and is the current education chair for WSNA. Passionate about creating a sense of belonging through meals that meet students’ cultural and dietary needs, Laurie aims to transform school nutrition with inclusive, sustainable approaches that honor individual identities and promote holistic wellness.

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
