Senior Coordinator of Human Resources

As the Senior HR Coordinator, Emily is deeply committed to aligning the Human Resources agenda with the foundation’s strategic objectives. She supports CAF’s mission, vision, and goals, particularly its commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB).

Emily has recently completed a two-year term as an AmeriCorps Farm to School member at a 4K-8th grade school in rural Northern Wisconsin. With 20 years of professional experience in human resources within the hospitality, non-profit healthcare, and natural foods industries, she is passionate about assisting employees in finding career opportunities or promotions and maximizing their benefits to achieve success in their professional and personal lives. She also started her professional career as a Pastry Chef specializing in fine-dining restaurants.

Emily loves to cook and bake. When she was with AmeriCorps, she would be in the kitchen using the tilt skillet and trying out a recipe from the Lunchbox. When not working, Emily enjoys tending to her vegetable garden and volunteering at school gardens. She also adores exploring Wisconsin with her family, discovering new hiking trails, and trying local restaurants.

Who We Are

The Chef Ann Foundation is dedicated to promoting whole-ingredient, scratch-cooking in schools. Scratch-cooking enables schools to serve the healthiest, tastiest meals so that kids are well-fed and ready to learn.

Our Mission

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
