Programs Administrative Associate

Alicia joined the Chef Ann Foundation team in June 2024 as the Programs Administrative Associate. In this role, she supports the programs team with Healthy School Food Pathway, PLANTS, Grant & Online Programs, Healthy Meals Incentives, and Operator Support verticals.

Alicia discovered her passion for child nutrition and supporting local food systems while serving as an AmeriCorps school garden coordinator in Southwest Colorado and as a FoodCorps service member in Oregon. After completing these service terms, she pursued further education by attending CU Boulder’s MENV program, graduating in 2024 with a Master’s in Sustainable Food Systems. During her time in graduate school, she delved deeper into school food systems through her work on Oregon’s Farm to Child Nutrition Program team and also helped Nourish Colorado with the Farm to School Guidebook.

Alicia is delighted to be back in Colorado and is an outdoor enthusiast. She enjoys playing ultimate frisbee, visiting farmer’s markets, and hiking.

Who We Are

The Chef Ann Foundation is dedicated to promoting whole-ingredient, scratch-cooking in schools. Scratch-cooking enables schools to serve the healthiest, tastiest meals so that kids are well-fed and ready to learn.

Our Mission

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
