Kim serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to the Office of the CEO. She also serves as a liaison to the board of directors and senior management teams; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects.

Kim is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She graduated with an undergraduate degree in English from Millsaps College and a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology from the University of Georgia. Her first career was in sports medicine, where she worked as an athletic trainer for collegiate and professional football, soccer and baseball teams. Through a love of triathlon, she ended up in professional cycling, where she worked as a soigneur for multiple teams in the US and Europe. Cycling is where she met her husband, Jake. They fell in love over a slice of cake and decided, then and there, they would open their own bakery one day. In 2010, Kim and Jake’s was born in Boulder, CO.

Kim is excited to bring her love of food and everything she has learned as a small business owner to her job at the Chef Ann Foundation. In her spare time, Kim can be found reading books, hanging out with her cats, watching her son dance and husband race his bike.

Who We Are

The Chef Ann Foundation is dedicated to promoting whole-ingredient, scratch-cooking in schools. Scratch-cooking enables schools to serve the healthiest, tastiest meals so that kids are well-fed and ready to learn.

Our Mission

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
