Natalie Farrell

she/her

Director, Multistate Workforce Programs

Natalie has operational and leadership experience in a wide range of mission-driven food spaces, from farms to commercial kitchens to food hubs and beyond. After receiving her B.S. in Food Systems from the University of Minnesota, Natalie focused her work on supporting the skills, networks, and infrastructure needed to create strong local food systems. Natalie is motivated by the belief that all people – and especially our youngest eaters – should have access to the food they need to thrive and that a healthy food system should nourish people, land, and animals. Her interest in the intersection of food and health led her to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Health, which she completed in May 2024 with the University of Minnesota.

Who We Are

The Chef Ann Foundation is dedicated to promoting whole-ingredient, scratch-cooking in schools. Scratch-cooking enables schools to serve the healthiest, tastiest meals so that kids are well-fed and ready to learn.

Our Mission

Ensure that school food professionals have the resources, funding and support they need to provide fresh, healthy, delicious, cook from scratch meals that support the health of children and our planet.

Why School Food Matters

American kids start their life-path in K–12 schools where they learn the skills necessary to thrive & meet their potential. While the country debates the best ways to teach them math, science & English, we spend little to no time on food & nutrition.
